Answers to the most common questions about PREATOM.
QHow do I create a contract?
Go to Contracts → New Contract. Fill in the title, counterparty email, value, jurisdiction, and industry. A legally structured contract is generated automatically. You can edit the text before signing.
QHow does signing work?
Both parties must sign for a contract to be executed. Each party signs by drawing or typing their name. IP address, device fingerprint, timezone, and timestamp are captured as forensic evidence.
QHow does the counterparty receive the contract?
When you create a contract, an email invitation with a signing link is sent automatically to the counterparty. They can register (if new) or log in to review and sign.
QWhat happens after both parties sign?
The contract status changes to "Executed", becomes cryptographically sealed (SHA-256), and is permanently immutable. An evidence package can then be generated.
QWhat is an Evidence Package?
After execution, PREATOM generates a package with the contract PDF, all signatures, audit trail, timestamp token, Merkle root, and a public verification URL — suitable for court submission.
QHow can anyone verify a contract?
Visit preatom.com/verify/[id] or scan the QR code. No login required. The page shows cryptographic hash verification, execution status, and evidence metadata.
QCan I edit a contract after creating it?
Yes — the contract text is editable in Draft status before any party signs. Once the first signature is placed, the text is locked permanently.
QWhat is Escrow?
Escrow holds funds securely until all contract conditions are met. Funds are released upon full execution or per the escrow terms. Disputes freeze the funds until resolved.
QIs PREATOM a QTS Provider?
No. PREATOM supports ESIGN compliance and foundational eIDAS-aligned auditability. Qualified eIDAS signatures require a certified trust-service provider.
